Meet Your Host and Keynote Speaker
Rosetta Thurman, Founder of HappyBlackWoman.com
My name is Rosetta Thurman and I’m the Founder and CEO of Happy Black Woman, a global empowerment company and high-vibe sisterhood for ambitious Black women who want to make a big impact, earn a great income and live an abundant lifestyle.

As a transformational coach, my mission is to help Black women entrepreneurs and leaders up-level their mindset so that they can accomplish their business and lifestyle goals faster than they ever thought possible.

Happy Black Woman is for the woman who is ready to stop playing small, say yes to her big vision and live life on her own terms – all while taking exquisite care of herself in the process.

So…how did this all begin? I’m glad you asked :)

In 2010, I created Happy Black Woman as a personal blog to document my journey to transform my life and career. As I began to write about my experiences from going natural to dating in Washington, DC to quitting my job to building 2 online businesses to traveling the world, I connected with so many other Black women who were on the same path. Since then, it has grown beyond my wildest dreams into a beautiful tribe of Black women entrepreneurs all over the world who are 100% committed to their own happiness, success and freedom!

Today, I am the host of the Happy Black Woman Podcast, creator of the Launch Your Business 90-Day Boot Camp and the author of Launch Your Business: The 5 Step Solution to Do What You Love, Quit Your Job and Have the Freedom to Travel and Live Life on Your Own Terms. I get to help thousands of Black women entrepreneurs through my inspiring content, business programs and transformational live events!

"You can do anything you want with your life and no one can stop you…but you.”

“Ain’t nobody’s job to make you happy:
How to harness the power that is inside of you”
Rhonda Ross is a singer-songwriter, actress and speaker who explores questions of power, culture and spirituality through her art. Described as “Inspired Neosoul”, Rhonda’s music is funky, wholehearted, and wildly intelligent. Her most recent CD, In Case You Didn’t Know, includes songs like, “Nobody’s Business” which is a groovy, bass-led reminder that your joy comes from the inside and it’s nobody else’s job to make you happy. As the only child of Icon Diana Ross and Motown Founder, Berry Gordy, it has become evident that Rhonda has not only the talent, but the significance to carry on her parents’ legacy, all while establishing her own unique artistic destination.

Rhonda’s artistic expression encompasses TV, theater and film as well. She burst onto the acting scene with her highly acclaimed portrayal of “Toni Burrell” on the NBC soap opera, Another World. Within months, she had earned an Emmy Award nomination. She has also starred in “Bessie Coleman: A Dream to Fly” on Showtime, and the cult classic: “The Temptations” as well as the feature film, “Hook’d Up.”
Rhonda’s lifelong mission is to encourage, empower, and inspire people of all ages. She communicates this message through her music, public speaking, and also through her philanthropic work. Rhonda is proud to sit on the boards of the following not-for-profit organizations: Hearts of Gold, Figure Skating in Harlem, and Motown EDU – all of which focus on the education and well-being of children. She regularly gives her time, talent and dollars to other organizations with similar missions.
